Welcome to my website
Some various ways of displaying Rottnest Island prints
I live in the northern coastal suburb of Duncraig, Perth Western Australia. From the studio looking west I can see the Indian Ocean including the island of Rottnest out on the horizon. This northern coastal strip of Perth has been nick named "The Sunset Coast".
I am most tempted to paint the natural environments around here and further afield on locations in this western State of Australia. Sometimes the image will include people enjoying themselves indulging in its treasures. It never ceases to amaze me the nature of earth with its beauty and wonder. This is my inspiration and through the painting of it I hope to share and be able to encourage you to relax and immerse yourselves. To spend some "time out" from the hustle and bustle of everyday living and have these moments, memories or appreciation of our Earth.
Usually I will start an art piece "plein air" (on-site). Where work commences drawing, planning, photographing and/or painting.
I have studied Art at West Coast Art College of TAFE.
Attended and taught art lessons and workshops. Visited galleries in Europe and America.
They have had a huge impact and were a big motivator towards my study of art.
So far I have achieved from my love of painting:
Three solo exhibitions, two at Rottnest Island and one in Margaret River. I occasionally take part in some Gallery and Group Exhibitions in Western Australia. I am a member and have been on the committee of Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society for some years. Prints have been reproduced of some Rottnest Island artwork and can be seen and bought at the Prints Section of this site.
