Welcome to my website
Some various ways of displaying Rottnest Island prints
Perth Western Australia, in the north coastal suburb of Duncraig is where I live and have my studio. Out west from here is the Indian Ocean. The coastal road along it has been named the Sunset Coast Tourist Drive. When you look at the horizon the island of Rottnest can be seen. This is a popular holiday island owned for the people by the government.
Painting the colourful and natural environments around WA inspire me. So much opportunity and freedom to escape outdoors. BBQs, beaches, natural parks, water sports wildflowers, millions of square kilometers of land, amazing and varied coastlines. So much space and blue skies.
Usually I will start an art piece "plein air" (on-site). Where work commences drawing, planning, photographing and/or painting.
I have studied Art at West Coast Art College of TAFE.
Attended and taught art lessons and workshops. Visited galleries in Europe and America.
They have had a huge impact and were a big motivator towards my study of art.
I have achieved :
Three solo exhibitions, two at Rottnest Island and one in Margaret River. Occasionally take part in some Gallery and Group Exhibitions in Western Australia. Have had a painting reproduced on a wine bottle label. Am a member and have been on the committee of Wanneroo Joondalup Art Society. Prints have been reproduced of Rottnest Island and can be seen and bought at the Prints Section of this site.
